A HObag named ZANE

foggydress_hobag_zane Remember this gorgeous fabric I instagrammed about? And remember how I started naming my HObags? Just want to make sure you remember everything that has ever gone on in my life. Good. Well look at me I finished her! For some reason the name Zane popped into my head and it stuck. Ok who wants Zane??

foggydress_hobag_zane I was inspired by all the boxy, big envelop clutches that I covet so much. Although it isn’t as stiff as those, it still holds enough shape to appreciate all those straight lines and edgy corners. UGH this print is jut perfect!

Make a DRESS from a BIG TEE! + tutorial

foggydress_tee I’m going to be honest here. I love big, oversized tees and sweaters. My PJ’s are just some extra-large printed shirts that I found at the GAP for $5. I sometimes run little errands in them and hope that I don’t run into anyone I know (so far I’ve had great luck with that!). So when I saw this big tee at Walmart for only $3, I of course wanted it for some new bedtime attire. Then I thought, why not sew it into something that is super comfy, but can be “dressed up” (so glad hight waisted belts are in!) so I can actually wear it in public??

foggydress_tee Here’s a fun tutorial on how to DIY your very own Big Tee Dress. Feel free to snooze in it all night long, and then run out to the grocery store in the morning. No one will ever know!

eat: things that your health-nut (pun intended) friends make

foggydress_pbI am slightly jealous of people who can whip up recipes off the top of their head. I’m also slightly jealous of people who know how to make recipes healthy. In this case, my nurse/high school/half-Asian/track & field BFF Anna does both. She recently made some of this healthy and oh so creamy cinnamon peanut butter!! I begged her to share the recipe.

foggy prints: padre day

fathersday1I just bareeeeeely sent out my father’s day cards…I know, not as on top of things as I was during mother’s day. Life as been SO CRAZY over at this house. Since we returned from China, we have had non-stop guests over! We love it, but it just slows us down a bit. I could’ve sworn today was June 2…when I looked at the calendar I could hardly believe it was already the 13th. If I call home to say my father’s day card will be late, does that make up for it actually being late?

IMG_0828I really wish I could send my dad a plate full of delicious homemade food, because that’s what he’d realllyyy love and appreciate. Thank goodness for gift cards, how did people ever manage without them??? Here’s to spending time (if you can) with them, or sending them something you spent time on. Time is about the most precious gift we can give.

PS. A little birdie (aka my girlfriend Booke L.) told me Treat.com is giving away FREE personalized cards! Valid until June 17th with promo code: TRT6FDEE5F

hugs, hanalei.
