“Just stand right there, I need to take some practice shots while I adjust the lighting,” is what I sneakily tell him…all the while I’m taking pictures of his stylin’ Sunday attire…
He has this thing where, if I suggest he buy something, he automatically vetos it and picks up something else. He does not shop well with others (let alone enjoy shopping at all)! But once a year I coax him into a store, and if he likes what he finds, he buys what he needs for the whole year. WHat?? I shop in little bits all year round. In any case, he ended up with some really good finds (I’m just going to say that I conveniently put those shoes right at eye level on the Nordstrom Rack shelves, where I knew he’d see them…).
PS. Has anyone else been watching So You Think You Can Dance?? It is one of my favorite shows, hands down. I will put all my children through dance, just for the hope of them making it on this show (am I exaggerating a little?… no).
Last summer I did a little modeling, and was in a funny car commercial….see if you can spot me!
Remember when I was in Taiwan, deciding which bag I should get? Well I finally decided on one!
I saw my first Jump From Paper bag when I was driving throug Mission District. A tourist crossed the street with one of these hanging from their shoulder, and I just knew I had to get my hands on one! But… I had no idea where to get them, or even what they were called. Two weeks later…I found them in Taiwan! It was hard settling on just one, but I figured a medium sized, popping orange bag would do the job. I absolutely love my 2D purse, guys!
Also, yes, it was trash day when I took this picture…!
I just bareeeeeely sent out my father’s day cards…I know, not as on top of things as I was during mother’s day. Life as been SO CRAZY over at this house. Since we returned from China, we have had non-stop guests over! We love it, but it just slows us down a bit. I could’ve sworn today was June 2…when I looked at the calendar I could hardly believe it was already the 13th. If I call home to say my father’s day card will be late, does that make up for it actually being late?
I really wish I could send my dad a plate full of delicious homemade food, because that’s what he’d realllyyy love and appreciate. Thank goodness for gift cards, how did people ever manage without them??? Here’s to spending time (if you can) with them, or sending them something you spent time on. Time is about the most precious gift we can give.
PS. A little birdie (aka my girlfriend Booke L.) told me Treat.com is giving away FREE personalized cards! Valid until June 17th with promo code: TRT6FDEE5F
Next time you go to a summer BBQ, volunteer to bring some of this ^^ tomato-less salsa along! I love it, my Aunt made it all the time, and her daughter finally gave me the secret recipe. Tomatillo’s are not as sweet as tomatoes, but give a zangy twist to the traditional red, tomato salsa. click here for the simple recipe!
